Frequently Asked Questions
-
I work with individuals, couples, teens, and families. My clients often want to improve the relationship they have with themself or others by developing more understanding, acceptance, compassion, or awareness.
-
I work with clients who feel overwhelmed, anxious, and depressed. Oftentimes, I work with individuals who can be overly critical towards themselves, feel disconnected from who they are, or struggle to trust themselves. I also work with couples and families to explore, understand, and change relationship patterns that feel stuck.

Therapy can be short term (10 sessions or so) or long term (a year or more). The length depends on your unique needs, symptoms, goals, and personal pace.
-
The consultation allows you to feel out if I seem like the right fit for you, and it allows me to learn if I can offer you what you are looking for in counseling. Evidence shows that a critical part of the counseling process is the quality of the relationship between the client and counselor. The consultation gives you the opportunity to see if you feel safe, comfortable, and understood.
-
I meet with clients in-person and virtually depending on client preference and my own availability. If you have a preference for in-person sessions, let me know in your consultation or contact form and we can discuss my current openings or expected wait time for an in-person spot.
